Kilinga Bacanora is a modern, innovative & environmentally conscious agave spirit. The family have spent generations working this land. Born from this is an understanding that you have to look after the land if you want it to provide for you and the generations to come. This is not greenwashing or following trends; this is a way of life. with elegant and complex flavours.
The spirit of Bacanora is some 300 or more years old, however it is less well known than other agave spirits as it had to survive close to 100 years of prohibition. The prohibition was spirit specific to the production and consumption of Bacanora.
Not only was prohibition severely enforced, it was not eased until the early 1990s with legal production not being encouraged until the 2000s. In the year 2000, it received its DO (Denomination of Origin).
